Sweet History: The Star of India

Some ships are remembered for their voyages across the seven seas… ours will be remembered for voyaging straight into your sweet jar.
Back in 1863, in Ramsey’s shipyards, a beauty was launched: The Star of India. She was a proud iron-hulled sailing ship, destined for long journeys, exotic cargo, and more salty sailors than you could shake a stick of rock at. She survived storms, mutinies, and the odd brush with disaster — and yet here she is today, reborn in a form far more delicious: our cheeky new sweet.
Now, we can’t promise these sweets will help you round Cape Horn, but they will give you a kick strong enough to make you feel like shouting “All hands on deck!” from the kitchen. They sparkle with nostalgia, flavoured with adventure, and carry a taste as bold as the ship’s name.
Each bite is like a voyage: sweet at the start, a little daring in the middle, and gone far too soon (because you ate the lot). No need for rigging, rum rations, or seasickness tablets — just unwrap, pop it in your mouth, and let The Star of India carry you away.
And remember, Ramsey didn’t just build ships… it built legends. Now you can taste one.
