Marzipan the Magnificent & his tasty spell starters....

In the bustling sweet-lined streets of Sugarwick, there lived a wise old wizard named Marzipan the Magnificent. His robe shimmered like boiled sweets in the sun, and his beard was dusted with icing sugar from centuries of snacking. Marzipan was famous across the land for his spells - shimmering rainbows, dancing teacups, talking kittens - but every magic trick had one very special secret.

You see, a spell couldn’t begin without a Spell Starter - a perfectly round, sugar-coated sweet with a heart of pure flavour. Some days it was a lemon Zeslet (good for sunny weather charms), other days a strawberry chew (perfect for love potions). Without one, the magic fizzled and flopped like a dropped meringue.

One morning, disaster struck. The town’s sweet jars were empty, the dragons had eaten the Spell Starter , and the fairies had stolen the sherbet balls for cloud-making. Without a Spell Starter, Marzipan couldn’t light the castle lanterns, fill the wells with lemonade, or make the bread rise for the village feast.

So the children of Sugarwick formed a brave little quest party. They scampered through liquorice forests, crossed fudge rivers, and climbed mountains dusted with candy floss until they found the Great Jar of Starters, hidden in the lair of a sleepy marshmallow giant.

With pockets full of sweets and hearts full of triumph, they hurried back. Marzipan popped a Spell Starter into his mouth, muttered a few sugary words, and BOOM - the air filled with sparkles, the lanterns blazed, and a fresh-baked feast appeared for all.

From that day on, every child kept a Spell Starter Sweet in their pocket - because you never know when a little magic might be needed.
